MERRY XMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR

Boxing Qld would like to wish all our members, volunteers, committee members, supporters and sponsors a very merry Xmas and a happy New Year. We hope you enjoy time with your family and friends and have a great break and come back refreshed for a massive 2026.

Our calendar has been set and is jam packed.

2026 will see the rejuvination of Masters Boxing, which has been languishing in a holding pattern throughout Australia in previous years. there has been a huge amount of interest in the Masters space so we've listened to our members and are going to provide the safest and friendliest environment for Masters to compete. There will be opportunnities locally, interstate and internationally, all supported and sanctioned by Boxing Qld and Boxing Australia.

The Boxing Qld International Open Golden Gloves is back on the calendar in a bigger format (if that can be possible) 2025 saw 760 nominations and 440+ bouts over 5 massive days. 2026 is already shaping up to be a much bigger event with 3 rings and in excess of 1250 nominations expected. This historical event will be held at the prestgious Nissan Arena in Brisbane.

The NQ Games is back on in Mackay. Since taking on the NQ Games in 2017 the games have grown every year and we don't expect 2026 to be any different, in fact we expect this one to be our biggest yet.

In conjunction with the NQ Games, Mackay will for the first time host the U19 School age Qld state championships, another milestone for Boxing Qld.
