Tournament Prerequisite's: Please read and understand the below information..

All tournaments will be pre matched after nominations are received via the online registration portal & nominations are closed.

Nominations will close Monday night of the preceeding week of the tournament (APPROX 2 weeks), This allows clubs that are travelling to confirm a match up, book accom and organise travel.

{It is the coaches responsibility to ensure their boxers are registered appropriately and tournament nominations are in on time}

Weigh in times to be set by the host club and must be completed a min 1hr before competition starts. It is up to the host club to ensure times are advised well in advance and liaise with the BQ RJ Coordinator.


All Junior age (U17's) athletes and over must have a serology, if you have a new book it can be completed and signed of by the Dr as per below, if you have an old blue book download the single page SEROLOGY FORM  and have the Dr fill it in accordingly then staple it into the back page of your blue book.

    No serology, No match up.

If a boxer does not have the serology section complete or the Form in the back of their book, they will be turned away at weigh in. BQ will not be following this up during the nomination process, it is the responsibility of the boxer and coach.

Coaches are responsible for advising their members on how to register and nominate.


It is strongly recommended that you use a desktop or laptop computer to register, nominate and add files. Sometimes the full site does not appear on tablet's or mobile phones.

CLUBS HOSTING TOURNAMENTS MUST PROVIDE - 

** all officials with a meal & Refreshments (tea, coffee & or water).

Boxing Qld will coordinate the officials to attend each event on a rotating system.

The host club does not contact or organise their own officials!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INTERSTATE CLUBS AND BQ CLUBS TRAVELLING INTERSTATE -

**All BQ registered boxers wanting to compete interstate 'OUTSIDE OF QLD' must get a clearance from the BQ secretary to attend, a min of 2 weeks is required, no exceptions.

** All interstate/international boxers travelling into Qld must have a clearance (from their governing body [state secretary or national governing body secretary]) sent to the BQ secretary before competing.

Junior age (u17's) Boxers and older travelling into Queensland require a serology test for HIV, Hep B & C

All boxers must be registered with a BA afilliated Boxing Qld club.

Please remember when you affiliate with Boxing Qld (or any other state BA member association) you agree to abide by all rules and regulations. Any breaches of the rules and regulations will be dealt with accordingly.


Tournament Dates:

ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE, AS PER BOXING AUSTRALIA & BOXING QUEENSLAND REQUIREMENTS - ALL PATHWAY AND SELECTION EVENTS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER STANDARD TOURNAMENTS.

No event will be called a 'title' event other than events run and coordinated by BQ.

Local tournaments that were previously called 'titles' will be known as 'Championships' moving forward.

All tournaments sanctioned by Boxing Qld/BA will have the below sanctioning logo displayed.


All coaches must:-

  • Have their current Bronze Level coaches qualification
  • have a current Blue card
  • Be registered online

Blue cards MUST be linked to Boxing QLD, NO CARD, NO LINK no corner.

All Junior Boxers (u17's) and older must complete a serology (blood test) for HEP B,C & HIV, this is seperate (in addition) from your standard medical. NO SEROLOGY or medical, NO match up.

Club Affiliation (only) open - As part of your affiliation your club will be issued 5 new blue books, if you require more blue books, they can be order from the BQ shop (they are no longer issued with boxer registration) - Boxers, assistant coaches cannot order books, Only books ordered by the club affiliate will be sent. A reminder the club head coach is responsible for the distribution of the blue books.

 


Feb -

Boxer, coach & officials registration open. Attention Boxers & Coaches, if your club is not affiliated do not attempt to register. Speak to your head coach before attempting to register, they will also issue you your blue book - Do not complete your medical without your blue book, your medical and serology (junior age div and older) must be completed in your book as per the new (2024) process, again speak to your coach.
